West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics seeks a Geneticist qualified for appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor rank to join our growing division and program. The primary practice location is Morgantown, WV, with occasional travel to Summersville, WV and South Charleston, WV. Clinical care will also be delivered via direct-to-home video visits, as well as through our groundbreaking clinic-to-clinic telemedicine program, offering service to Martinsburg, Princeton, South Charleston, Summersville, Vienna, and Wheeling, WV.
Position:
Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank
Practice pediatric and adult genetics
Mix of inpatient consults, telemedicine, and clinic visits
Collaborate with geneticists, advanced practice providers, and genetic counselors
Teach medical students and residents
Qualifications:
MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) with state medical license eligibility
Completed accredited genetics residency
Board certified in medical genetics
Preferred: Interest/training in metabolic patient care
For senior ranks: leadership experience, strong communication, and publications

Part of a growing genetics division and state-funded newborn screening program
Access to new 150-bed Children’s Hospital with advanced pediatric care units
Facilities include NICU, PICU, Heart Center, Cancer Center, and Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center (upgrading to Level 1)
J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital: only pediatric cardiac surgery and epilepsy monitoring unit in WV, Magnet nursing status
